Negotiating from Ideal to Deal

cartoon model nose 001I just came across this snappy quote, “Start out with an ideal and end up with a deal,” apparently by Karl Albrecht, a German multi-billionaire. It got me wondering whether it’s worth having your “i” poked out, just to get a “deal” from an “ideal.”
